How important is it to the under-35s?

The under-35s combine two important factors: they are often.., they have relatively smaller private areas, and sometimes already have young children. Let me add a third factor: they have a strong need for social ties and belongingIt's natural, then, that they should have been the most affected by confinement. So it's only natural that they should have been the most affected by confinement, when other, older age groups with less 'community' needs were better able to cope with working from home.

How can we ensure that everyone benefits from returning to the office?

The aim is to make employees want to come back to the office. Quality of life at work must take into account employees' physical health (the use of healthy materials, good air quality and hygrometry), and physiological health sports facilities, healthy food... Add psychological health with feeling welcome and well surrounded. At Sogeprom, we make sure that each department can meet up physically with 100 % one or two days a week.

What does the physical office represent for you?

It's the key to collective performance and functional equity. We are all equal. It's more than just a home from home. It's the place to be for functional, spatial and digital quality, in favour of the co-creation of value. The better you are in your offices, in your professional community, the more serene you feel, and therefore the more creative and successful you are. Issues of overall health in the workplace are part and parcel of a company's CSR policy: from this point of view, the Covid crisis has brought us a few years of maturity.

But have habits changed?

I've never been attached to timetables, much more to the pleasure of work accomplished and individual responsibility. But nowadays, everyone's relationship with time has changed. If someone arrives at the office at 10am, who can tell you that they didn't do a video from home before leaving? I often leave the office quite early, and then do a meeting from home afterwards. I've had to convince some of the managers in my team to give their teams more flexibility in their working hours. For some of them, this means they can avoid the rush of travelling, which is a guarantee of health safety, time saving, peace of mind and sometimes even a better work-life balance. In the pre-Covid collective unconscious, teleworking meant working in front of the TV. Today, everyone understands that this is not the case!

In your role as promoter, how do you reflect these new post-Covid habits?

For the moment, we are not seeing a drastic reduction in the amount of floor space required by investors, but rather a different relationship with space: more modular office space, and more openness to services and the immediate environment: the user and nature, and therefore living things, at the heart of the projects. Office spaces need to fulfil four major functions: collaborative working, with meeting rooms that can be adapted to suit requirements; spaces for festive sharing; offices where silence, concentration and confidentiality are possible; and, finally, interstitial spaces that encourage informal exchanges beyond the eternal coffee machine. In addition, it has become imperative to bring in light and nature, but also to provide spaces that allow our customers to offer services, in response to the growing porosity between personal and private life.

Caroline Fortier, Managing Director of Sogeprom

[9
post-1603","article-etude","type-article-etude","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categorie-article-etude-interview
["GET
